Jungle (original version)

It’s been a while since I bothered using a conditioner on my hair, but seeing as I’ve got on so well with the Lush shampoo bars, I thought I would try out the Jungle Solid Conditioner. At £3.50 for a massive bar, I have a feeling this will last for ages!

It has a particularly “earthy” smell – not necessarily something I would pick out in a shop, but it’s not unpleasant. It is, however, rather strong so you can smell it on your hair during the day. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it takes a little getting used to!

Like most conditioners, Jungle doesn’t lather when you use it. I just streak it over clean, wet hair, then rub it in gently before rinsing it off. It can be a bit challenging to figure out which bits of hair you’ve missed, but I don’t think you need to be too picky – it seems to work well even if you do miss a section of hair.

Lush Jungle Review

The bar has a base of Fairtrade organic cocoa butter and feels greasy to the touch, but even though my hair can have a tendency to turn greasy without any assistance, it didn’t seem to to have that effect at all.

I’ve used it several times now, and there’s only a slight sign of the pattern wearing down on the top of the bar, so I think this will last a nice long time. For £3.50 that’s a good purchase and one that’s definitely worth trying.
