I thought I had a clearer photo of Freddy, but it looks like the only one I have, is this ‘photobombing’ one – I’ll try harder next year!

]]> Yesterday’s Grand Regency Promenade ended in Parade Gardens, where spectators and Promenade participants were encouraged to join in the dancing. First though, there were a few dances from the talented Steps In Time group.

On to the ‘come and join in’ dancing, where the moves were being called very enthusiastically to ensure nobody got lost!

And of course you can’t have a dance without musicians!

]]> It’s that time of year again – when you walk through Bath and spot lots of Regency outfits! Yes, today was the Grand Promenade as part of the Jane Austen Festival.

This year’s route was different, starting in Sydney Gardens and heading along towards Pulteney Bridge, up Broad Street, down Milsom Street, past the Guildhall and into Parade Gardens. There seemed to be less pauses for everyone to catch up this year, as I wasn’t able to get ahead of the 33rd Regiment of Foot who were leading the Promenade!
