<p>The sunlight was at the perfect height to allow the Guildhall to glow&#8230;.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-87" src="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-guildhall.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="445" srcset="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-guildhall.jpg 750w, https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-guildhall-300x178.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px" /></p>
<p>&#8230;.but the best light was in St. John&#8217;s Road, where the sunset looked suitably picturesque even if it was challenging to time the photos so the car headlights weren&#8217;t in the way!</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-90" style="font-size: 1rem;" src="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset0.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="445" srcset="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset0.jpg 750w, https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset0-300x178.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px" /><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> </span><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-89" style="font-size: 1rem;" src="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="445" srcset="https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset.jpg 750w, https://padfoot.org.uk/bath/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/2018-01-29-st-johns-road-sunset-300x178.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px" /></p>
<p>After the true orangey red glow of the sunset, there was still a stripey glow to the sky across the city. Sometimes the best sunsets can be found slightly higher than the city centre.</p>
