It wasn’t just the adults and children who were dressed up for the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade – there were a couple of stylish canines as well!

Figgy Pudding seemed to be having a great time in the Promenade

Freddie looked particularly stylish, and seemed very happy to pose for photos while the Promenade waited for everyone to catch up

I did spot a fantastically dressed Labrador in Bath a few days ago as well, but I wasn’t able to get a photo. The outfit was brilliant though, including a little top hat!

I left the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade as they walked down Bath Street, and took a quick detour to catch them as they entered the Parade Gardens.

Bath Street was next for the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade , with a loop around the Hot Baths by the Thermae Spa, then heading back towards Bog Island.

I hadn’t paid much attention to the map of the route, so I wasn’t too sure where the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade would head after Milsom Street.

They made their way down through Union Street, which leads to some more unusual photos of Regency costume mixed with modern shops.

Following on from George Street (of course) is Milsom Street, where the 33rd Regiment of Foot who were leading the Promenade, stopped to allow everyone to catch up.

…certainly not the comfiest mode of transport

Following on from yesterday’s Jane Austen Festival Promenade, I next caught up with them in Miles Buildings. I didn’t expect it to work for photos there, as Miles Buildings is quite narrow – but it worked surprisingly well.

Even the dogs had suitable outfits!

If you’ve walked through Bath during the Jane Austen Festival, you’ve no doubt spotted people dressed in 18th Century costumes. But have you ever stopped to watch the record breaking Regency Costumed Charity Promenade?
