The Lights are On

And the red bauble lookalike suspended under the lights in Milsom Street looks a lot better now it’s lit!

Day of the Dead

If you’ve been in SouthGate in the last year or two, you might have spotted the cycles suspended over the thoroughfare, followed by “Umbrella Street” and “Wisteria Walk”.

The current display is for the Day of the Dead, with skulls and skeletal birds dotted around on the buildings.

Wild Walcot

The pop-up garden in Walcot Street is looking great – it was quite challenging to find a time to get a photograph when nobody was there!

And speaking of trying to get photos while nobody was there, that’s almost impossible for Wisteria Walk in SouthGate!

Wisteria Walk

Following on from the bicycles and umbrellas suspended above a pedestrian street in SouthGate, we currently have Wisteria Walk. So far it looks like it provides a good amount of shade, as well as being popular for photographs!

New Business?

The work has already started on what is expected to be the new Metro Bank (taking over part of the building M&S have), but this seagull decided that the hoarding was a suitable look-out point.

SouthGate Christmas Lights

After the first year when SouthGate made a mistake with their Christmas light display, and had “Merry Chrislmas from SoulhGale” it’s always good to see the current year’s display has no errors!

I will admit this photo had to be mirrored, as I was facing the wrong direction to get the writing to show up clearly. Those light certainly look a lot fancier than the ones in the rest of the city.
