The cloud obscured most of the moon, which resulted in a particularly picturesque view! The sky looks an orangey brown behind the clouds, and if you look closely you can just make out the edge of the moon in the centre of the photo.

I love the way the stripes of clouds formed perfectly horizontally across the moon.

Did you know that on Monday (November 14th), the moon will be the closest since 1948? It won’t be this close again until 2034…. and I bet it’ll be forecast to be cloudy then as well!
