The natural lawn mowers are back! The residents’ association which owns this grassy area use the sheep to keep the grass in trim without needing to resort to petrol-driven mowers.

The sheep all seemed happy to munch away with their backs to the sun, hardly even looking up as I was taking photos of them.

Red Glow at Sunset, Shepherd’s Delight?

I’ve heard of the “Golden Hour” before, where you get an intensely golden glow around sunset. But I’d not seen a red glow to the East at sunset that was quite this intense before!

This particular location can be quite reliable for a decent sunset, and today was no exception….

Stunning Sunset and Cawing Crows

This particular location tends to be a good place to spot some fantastic sunsets. There were no real reddy hues, but the sunset was a bright yellowy gold instead.

I could hear the crows flying over, and had a feeling they were heading to their favourite trees. Most of them were already perched on a branch when I got there, but suddenly they all started cawing and took off, apparently bickering over which crow got to perch on which branch!

Another reflected sunset for today – my camera still struggles to capture the red to quite the level that it looks in the sky, but I think this is a more accurate photo than some I’ve taken before!
