A great day for cloud watching

Today is proving a great day for cloud watching. Some look quite ‘ordinary’ but like I found earlier in the week, there’s a few that look suitably unusual…. Such as this one, which seemed to have a shadow cast on it at the base of the photo – I’m guessing the sunlight was just strong enough…

  • Evening Skies

The sky wasn’t an intense red at sunset, but there was a nice ambery orange glow to the clouds towards the north. #30dayswild

  • Stunning Sunsets

Another reflected sunset for today – my camera still struggles to capture the red to quite the level that it looks in the sky, but I think this is a more accurate photo than some I’ve taken before! #30dayswild

  • Clouds, clouds, and unusual clouds

I didn’t really think there was anything particularly special about these clouds as I started taking photos. • Morning Clouds

And just to prove my thought from yesterday, I’ve not seen clouds like this of a morning before – the sunlight was just starting to break through, giving the clouds an unusual illumination. #30dayswild

  • Stunning Cloudscapes

There’s something about clouds that make for excellent photo opportunities – like snowflakes, no cloud seems to look the same. #30dayswild

  • Naturally Framed Clouds

I took this photo a couple of days ago, and only realised today just how well the darker clouds framed the shot. #30dayswild

  • Mammatus clouds…. maybe?

Although I like taking photos of clouds, I’m a novice when it comes to identifying them. A relative reckoned this could be a Mammatus Cloud, but I haven’t been able to confirm that (yet).   #30dayswild
