The Beast from the East was determined to cause havoc with the temperature – they were forecasting a windchill of -6C during the day today. So it probably wasn’t any surprise to see so many Fieldfares feasting on berries (although I’ve only preivously seen them tucking into apples in the garden). #staywild

Normally you’d expect to see blackbirds eating the berries, but this morning there were two pigeons tucking in! The berries must be a great delicacy though, as the branches aren’t really that easy for such a large bird to sit on and they looked somewhat uncomfortable.
