Fireworks At Your Fence 2021 – part two

Carrying on from part one (I took a lot of photos!), let’s get straight back to 23rd Bath (Avonvale) Scouts Fireworks at your Fence 2021.

At this point, there were more fireworks set off locally, which photobombed my pictures – I think it compliments them quite well!

This mini display didn’t last long, so I was able to reset the camera zoom to focus back on Fireworks at your Fence.

Another fantastic fireworks display, and I must admit I really love the Fireworks at your Fence idea, especially as I was able to get such a great view!

Fireworks At Your Fence 2021 – part one

With the main fireworks display at the Rec being cancelled again this year, I was pleased to see that both Larkhall Athletic and 23rd Bath (Avonvale) Scouts both had displays this year. The Scouts’ display followed last year’s idea of Fireworks at your Fence which meant that plenty of people could get a really good view, without too many people all gathering together.

I had the camera set up behind the window, so there is a little ‘double image’ effect from the double glazing!

Maybe next year I’ll have the camera settings sorted (I think the ISO was too high) – the coloured fireworks came out fine, but the bright white elements are a little too bright!

There’s something about the “squiggles” in this photo that make me think of electricity….

That’s only half of my photos, so hop over to part two to see the rest!

Larkhall Athletic Fireworks 2021

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
Gunpowder Treason and Plot,

I was unable to join the crowds at Larkhall Athletic Football Club this year for their Bonfire Night fireworks display, but that didn’t stop me getting some photos!

I had wondered how good the view would be, given that there’s some tall trees partially blocking my view, but I think the silhouette of the tree branches actually works quite well in the foreground.

Did you spot the plane sneaking in at the top of the photo?

Another spectacular display from Larkhall Athletic FC, and maybe next year I might be able to get an unobstructed view of the fireworks display!
