Minerva’s Owls – Ralph

The Owls should all be back at base so they can be tidied up in time for the Owls Hoot Farewell weekend. I’ve still got several owl photos left to post, so these owls most likely won’t be visible today.

Ralph was one of those owls where you end up thinking “I wish I’d brought my camera” – we hadn’t realised the only view was from the road outside the garden, so the photos are a little on the small side!

Ralph was perched at the end of Church Lane in Widcombe – I’d never even heard of Church Lane until we tried finding Ralph!

Jane Austen Promenade

Bath Street was next for the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade , with a loop around the Hot Baths by the Thermae Spa, then heading back towards Bog Island.

There’s more photos to come over the next few days – I thought I’d spread them out so I didn’t overload my blog in one day!

Minerva’s Owls – Oswold

If there was a prize for the best display, then Oswold would be a confident winner!

Oswold was perched at Whitehall Garden Centre, and they must have spent ages working on their display to ensure he felt like he fitted in!

Minerva’s Owls – Lumin15

The Owls should all be back at base so they can be tidied up in time for the Owls Hoot Farewell weekend. I’ve still got several owl photos left to post, so these owls most likely won’t be visible today.

This has to be one of my favourite owls! Lumin15 was perched in a shed at Waterhouse, and is spectacularly lit to show off his glass feathers.

There were mirrors positioned behind Lumin15 so you could see the back of his head as well.

Jane Austen Promenade

I hadn’t paid much attention to the map of the route, so I wasn’t too sure where the Jane Austen Festival Regency Costumed Charity Promenade would head after Milsom Street.

They made their way down through Union Street, which leads to some more unusual photos of Regency costume mixed with modern shops.

There’s more photos to come over the next few days – I thought I’d spread them out so I didn’t overload my blog in one day!
